On 19 September 2026, Nakasero Hospital joined the Eritrean community in Kansanga for the FLFL Expo, an event that brought together members of the community, businesses and healthcare stakeholders for a day of connection, engagement and exchange.
The hospital’s participation provided an opportunity to engage directly with the Eritrean community and have conversations about preventive healthcare, regular health checks and access to specialised medical services.
At the Nakasero Hospital stand, attendees received complimentary blood pressure and blood sugar screenings, giving visitors an opportunity to take a simple but important step towards understanding their health status. The screenings also opened conversations between members of the community and the hospital’s healthcare team around prevention and early detection.
