To oversee the physiotherapy department by creating a high performing environment while streamlining processes and procedures in order to achieve the utmost quality in service and high client satisfaction.

Key Result Areas
The post holder is required to:-

  • Lead and manage the physiotherapy team to deliver clinically effective, high quality, safe, person centered care whilst ensuring that clinical, financial, and staff governance is achieved and maintained
  • Responsible for developing, implementing and updating standard operating procedures and protocols, ensuring staff adherence at all times.
  • Undertake quality control checks on all physiotherapy equipment and contribute to quality assurance and audit initiatives
  • Ensure that equipment is checked and monitored on a daily basis for malfunctions and any faults reported and followed up on
  • Draw up duty rotas for the physiotherapy team
  • Assess patients and their clinical requirements to determine appropriate physiotherapy techniques
  • Organizing departmental CMEs
  • Submit reports on patient statistics to management on a monthly basis
  • Manage all physiotherapy stock (sundries, stationary etc.) and ensure availability of items at all times
  • Any duties as may be assigned by the supervisor

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the human body
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to be patient
  • Must have a track record of high professional integrity and ethical conduct
  • Should be flexible, able to work under pressure and able to respond effectively to patients
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must demonstrative leadership skills.

 

Knowledge/Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy
  • Working experience of at least three (3) years in a similar role in a large and reputable organization
