Job Description…We are looking for a candidate to fill the position of Radiologist
Interested candidates should be able to;
Diagnose, interpret and treat injuries/diseases using medical imaging procedures such as X-rays, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and ultrasound
Key Result Areas
The post holder is required to:–
Performing and interpreting diagnostic imaging procedures
Reviewing and transmitting images and information using picture archiving and communications systems (PACS)
Communicating examination results and diagnostic information to referring physicians, patients, and families
Collaborating with referring physicians on treatment plans
Providing expertise in choosing the most suitable imaging techniques
Performing interventional procedures, such as biopsies and drain placements
Conducting research to improve the diagnosis and treatment of diseases
Work alongside radiographers and other professionals in administering treatment
Provide consults to patients’ primary doctors on results of imaging and recommend courses of treatment or suggest that additional images be taken
Operate the machinery used to collect these images and occasionally monitor imaging sessions run by the radiographers
Administer nuclear medicine, oncology, or other radiation techniques to treat patients with illnesses or diseases

Knowledge/Qualifications and Experience
• Master of Medicine in Radiology
• Must be registered with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioner’s Council
• At least (3) three years experience
